How does the PDF comparison work?
It extracts the text from each page of both PDFs and runs a word-level diff, so you see exactly which words were added or removed on each page. Added words are highlighted green, removed words red with a strikethrough.
Does it compare images or layout?
No — this is a text comparison. It reports what wording changed, which is what matters for contracts, drafts and documentation. Scanned/image-only pages have no extractable text and are flagged as such rather than reported as changed.
Are my files uploaded or stored?
Your PDFs are processed in memory to produce the comparison and are never written to disk or retained.
What if the two PDFs have a different number of pages?
Pages that exist only in the original are marked "Only in A" and pages only in the revised file are marked "Added in B", so nothing is silently dropped.
